FAR "PHPF" HAS COME SINCE i ATTENDED THE VERY FIRST MEETING THAT WAS
HELD AT MAPLEWOOD ELEMENTARY'S MEDIA CENTER AND HAD MET SYLVIA & HER
HUSBAND FOR THE FIRST TIME. AT THE TIME I COULD NOT RELATE WITH THE GROUPS

BIT AND EXPANDED TO ALL NEEDS AND DIAGNOSIS. MY SON ALEX HAS CP AND I
WILL BE DIFINITELY RETURNING TO THIS SITE TO CHECK OUT NEW NEWS. I
CONTINUE TO GET YOUR NEWSLETTER AT HOME. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.......YOU

The information as always is very helpful and the new site looks
terrific. We appreciate all the hard work that PHPF parents are doing
especially since we realize that you are all special needs parents too and
are finding the time to volunteer even though you lead busy and sometimes
stressful lives. God Bless all of you. Anita Vincent, Ocala

Hello, this is my first time visiting your sight. It is wonderful! I am
just researching the disease Smith-Lemli-Opitz. My 11 month old
daughter was just diagnosed with this and I was looking for more info than
what the Dr. would tell us. Thank You and I will visit again!

GREAT WEBSITE!

Thanks for being there and offering families MUCH NEEDED support and
direction! I too do the same thing in the Fort Lauderdale area, and know
the dedication it takes in keeping families informed and updated !

Looking forward to working with the Ocala area families and helping
anyway I can in helping parents become the BEST ADVOCATES they can be for
their child.

I am a mother to 3 wonderful children and my youngest is a beautiful
little girl that happens to have that funny little extra 21st chromosome,
commonly called Down syndrome. She will be entering Kindergarten

I have found a lot of information on this site that helped me to understand what I need to do about guardianship.  I  have also found lots of information about other ESE subjects.  It would be really helpful to me if there were more lawyers on this site especially pro bono ones since I am a single mom on a limited income.

This is my first time to this site.  I loved it. I talked to Mrs. Miller today about my daughter. It was just nice to talk to someone that can understand what we are all up against. Ocala sure needs some kind of summer day camp. Were children can go and be their self. I will be checking this site out again.
Thanks again
Mrs. Miller.

A friend gave me your newsletter and I found the information for your site there.  I had an IEP and I found all the information I needed to prepare me for it.  It went well.  I am a single working mom who can't make it to support group meetings and trainings.  This site is very helpful to me.  Thank you for being there for us in so many ways.  God bless you.

I AM THE MOTHER OF A DISABLED LITTLE GIRL, SHE WAS BORN WITH  SPINA  BIFIDA. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE VIEWED YOUR SIGHT, ITS GREAT. HOWEVER I AM NOT A PARENT THAT FEELS THAT I AM IN NEED OF PARENTAL SUPPORT, I WAS MORE INTERESTED IN FINDING OUT ABOUT ORGINAZATIONS AND OTHER THINGS THE COMMUNITY HAS TO OFFER MY DAUGHTER. SHE CURRENTLY GOES TO PPEC IN OCALA AND SHE LOVES IT SHE LOVES THE PEOPLE THERE AND THEY ARE TOTALLY AWESOME TO HER, IT HAS BEEN A BLESSING ALL IN ITS SELF.
LINDA WILSON, KATHY, THE THERAPIST, THE NURSES ARE ALL FANTASTIC. NOT ONLY DO THEY TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN, YOU CAN ALSO TELL THEY LOVE YOUR CHILD IN THERE OWN WAY ALSO.
LOTS OF THANKS TO EVERYONE AT PPEC. UNSIGHNED

Hello Sylvia,

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and Parents Helping Parents of FL for your kindness and support.  Back in September 2003, I spoke to you about my son, Josh and what we are trying to do for him.  You gave me your time, a lot of it.  Also, you printed an ad/story in your newsletter and on you web site telling about our fundraising cause and need for volunteers.  Having your help has made such a huge difference for your cause.  Due to your giving, we were able to succeed.  The money raised in 2003 has helped pay for some therapy equipment for Josh.  We were also able to attend the first session with "The Son-Rise Program."  Unfortunately, we did not have any volunteers come forward.  We still have big goals to reach, like the playroom.  We will continue collecting in 2004.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.  We will keep you updated on our progress.  Josh and I want to say "Thank you" again for your support.
