Amazing Acres offers Therapeutic horseback riding lessons to adults and children with all types of special needs.  Amazing Acres would like to invite individuals or groups to the farm that have not had the opportunity to experience the wonderful benefits of nature and animals.  A donation for this service would be deeply appreciated to assist with the special needs program, but is not mandatory. Amazing Acres does provide beginner horsemanship/riding instruction for able bodies as a fundraiser for special needs program. For individuals that are not able to ride horses, Amazing Acres has other farm animals available for therapy.

The program for special needs has been formulated with an emphasis on the development of educational and social skills as well as basic riding skills.  Horseback riding promotes the improvement in reflex muscle activity, eye-hand coordination, and balance and equilibrium reactions as well as instill self-confidence, and gives the student a real sense of accomplishment and personal success.
